a huge pretzel

What you see in the above photo is really a pretzel, made gigantic! we noticed it right away, while walking down the street that leads to the Neuschwainstein castle, one of the most beautiful (if not the most beautiful) of the Ludwig castles. In fact, all along the street there were various stores full of different kinds of souvenirs and various amenities, but what attracted our attention the most was a type of café/ restaurant that displayed this “succulent” item in a delightful way…!
We were left a bit disillusioned when we realized that the pretzel was salted and not sweet (because of our ignorance we didn’t know what these pretzels were like until now). It certainly made an impression though! The French fries that we ate had a less striking appearance but were much tastier.
