Enjoying Calgary, Canada

Calgary, Canada is nestled within the Rocky Mountains foothills, just waiting to be experienced! Also known as ‘Heart of the New West’, it is a place lush with Canadian West heritage. Going there would give you the chance to experience the Old West, the New West, and the Wild West! With a population of 1 million, the city offers plenty of breathtaking escapades!

In Calgary you can experience and see parks, and pathways, festivals, live performances, cultural attractions, spa experiences, sunshine, and lots of blue skies! There you can behold Banff National Park and the Canadian Rockies. You can do things like relaxing, snowmobile riding, snowboarding, skiing, skating, dog-sledding, horse-drawn sleigh riding, canyon ice walking, golfing, rafting, canoeing, mountain climbing, horse-back riding, and more!

From Europe and North America, Calgary is just a single plane away! Getting around can be done by renting cars, vans, or recreational vehicles. You can even ride a vintage rail car or take a prairie steamer.

The scary picture!

Today’s picture is a bit scary… it is a photo from my trip to Dozza, you can find my blog entry here. The fortress once was a prison, and there are several scary rooms with instruments of torture. I don’t like particularly this kind of stuff, however from the historical point of view can be interesting. If you look carefully on the walls, you can even see some carved texts or numbers on them, made by the prisoners.

Beside that, remember that the region around is well-known for good wines and food, so don’t be too much impressed by the photo! :D
