A sunny day

admin August 7th, 2007

The day is sunny, beautiful, already from the morning. The air is fresh, clear. The sky is deep blue and not a single cloud on sight: a climate particularly good considering that recently we got used to semi-tropical heat here in Italy…!

So we decided to take a day off, to explore some mountains nearby. Once again our starting point was “Passo della Cappelletta”, that connects Emilia Romagna with Liguria.

Once we arrived there, the view was incredible… I have no words to describe it, and I hope that the photos can at least give you a vague idea of what beautiful day it was. We took the official path that leads to Mount Gottero, even if we didn’t manage to reach the top because of time constraints.

Of course the cows aren’t missing even this time. They add a “bavarian” touch to the landscape. If I didn’t know, I could even be thinking to be really in Austria or Bavary. We even met another group of escursionists during our trip, very unusual for those places.

Just before heading back home I have time to take some funny pictures… a really weird shaped tree. It seems almost an enormous mouth, with a nose!

A furry ball

admin June 22nd, 2007

The picture above is of my dwarf rabbit, lionhead race, that I had some years ago. Unfortunately now she passed to better life, but I remember all the great moments I spent with her. She always had funny poses, like the one pictured above, and in general was lovely and cute. Still,I wouldn’t recommend you get a dwarf rabbit (or more) unless you live in a house with a garden, or you can dedicate one entire room to them.

Why? because they like to eat everything they can find! they like to crunch wood (imagine all the doors, cabinets, desks, etc) but also the power cables (surprisingly they don’t remain killed but they can cut the power off of your house!).

So as you can see, isn’t an easy task to have one of those furry creatures around the house. Still if you live in a good place, they could be a pleasant addition to your pet friends :)

Trip to “Monte Adone”

admin May 12th, 2007

Monte Adone is located in the beginning of “Appennino Bolognese” (mountains south of Bologna). It is very close to the main town of Bologna, just a few km, and it’s still a relatively quiet place. We started to climb upon it from a place called “Badolo”.

sentiero lungo monte adone

As you can see the path is narrow and steep, and in some points you have a ravine just on your side: so it is recommended only to people who don’t have vertigo!

gran burrone

The sight is wonderful as you can see. A pity that day there was a bit of mist, but in any case you can see how high we are!

lucertola

Pictured above instead a uninvited guest we med along the road… I even managed to take a portrait of this curious lizard! ;)

At last we were on top - were we could admire those curious rock shapes. I don’t know their origins, but still they look cool!

In this other pictures you can see them better. Really weird! seems like someone made them on purpose :)
