The whole trip to S.Alessio park started in the early morning and ended in the afternoon, so not very long (including the 2h drive we had to take). Still it was a very pleasant trip, not boring at all! we planned it in advance, so we bought some food like toasts, sandwiches, pizza and tasteful “crescenti” (a kind of salty bread, cooked in an oven, typical of our zone) so we could use the existing “pic-nic” zone inside the park, which is very large with lot of seats.
In the pictures below you can see more funny inhabitants of the park. Some ibis so colorful that even my digital camera had some troubles to picture their red feathers color correctly!

A very cute parrot featuring some wonderful colours…

A happy turtles family that was having a sort of trip in a small river nearby…

and more animals like the fawn below that was a bit scared even if I took the photo from long distance!

As you can see, this place is really worth a visit, you won’t be bored for sure! In addition, remember that in the neighbour area there’s also the famous churches complex of “Certosa di Pavia”, so if you want you can see both things at once… we did it that same afternoon, as I’ll tell you in the next articles.

It isn’t exactly Bavaria, but rather about a region called Schwarzwald, that in German means “Black Forest”. It isn’t really a touristy area, and it isn’t nearly as pretty as Bavaria, but it’s no less fascinating because of this.
A city that is particularly interesting to visit is Triberg, the hometown of the cuckoo clock! While walking around the main street you will find many stores that specialize in the sale of this peculiar souvenir… there’s a really attractive one that has an enormous cuckoo clock as the sign outside of the store. (look at the photo above)
In the end I gave in and even I bought a cuckoo clock, in a small size though! In 2003 I spent around 110 euros for a small but beautiful one. If you have more money to spend there are some really huge ones that cost more than 1.000 euros!!

I went to Tenerife 2 years ago. It is the biggest of the spanish Canary Islands, in the Atlantic Ocean off the coast of Africa. It is a thriving tourist place, visited by millions of tourist every year. The quality of the service is very high too: just think about this, a recent law forbids to build new hotels in the land, unless they’re of 5-star quality and comprises a golf course and congress facilities. This shows how much they care about preserving intact this wonderful environment!
Speaking of golf courses, if you decide to do some holidays to Tenerife , you’ll find plenty of them: there are a total of 9 in the whole island. But it’s not just that: aquapark, animal parks, theaters, excellent restaurant and a very hot night life make Tenerife the ideal holiday destination for the singles, but also for the family.
I’m sure that if you try it, you’ll agree with me that there’s nothing better than Tenerife holidays !
