incredible, right? he was just in front of our door, in our wood nearby the house! we could see him from our windows… and we aren’t living exactly in the mountains, so that was really surprising. Unfortunately now we have made a fence all around the house perimeter so it’s unlikely we will ever see such beautiful animals so close…

I started to look around me, the nature and its small details, so I decided to take some closeup pictures of small plants, like the ivy and the pine cone below:

nowadays people doesn’t seem to be interested anymore in looking at the natureworks, at our world. I find this still a very important and also very relaxing activity to do while walking outside.

In the photo above you can admire a closeup of a giant bilberries plant I found last week of august, while taking a short walk in the wood nearby our house (in Taro Valley, Italy). The bilberries usually grow above 800-900m on the sea level, but we never saw such big ones before!! Of course they couldn’t escape us, and I must admit they tasted good.

It’s really cool, walking in peace in wonderful woods, and find along the path such beautiful surprises. Tasting the nature’s food like men used to do time ago, without any OGM or import/export from suspicious countries… :D

The air is fresh, clear. The sky is deep blue and not a single cloud on sight: a climate particularly good considering that recently we got used to semi-tropical heat here in Italy…!

So we decided to take a day off, to explore some mountains nearby. Once again our starting point was “Passo della Cappelletta”, that connects Emilia Romagna with Liguria.

Once we arrived there, the view was incredible… I have no words to describe it, and I hope that the photos can at least give you a vague idea of what beautiful day it was. We took the official path that leads to Mount Gottero, even if we didn’t manage to reach the top because of time constraints.

Of course the cows aren’t missing even this time. They add a “bavarian” touch to the landscape. If I didn’t know, I could even be thinking to be really in Austria or Bavary. We even met another group of escursionists during our trip, very unusual for those places.

Just before heading back home I have time to take some funny pictures… a really weird shaped tree. It seems almost an enormous mouth, with a nose!

Funny thing is, we spotted it by pure chance while we were driving in the road that passes nearby (picture below).

So we decided to park the car in a small side-road, nearby a group of houses that are just in front of the waterfall. It isn’t a big one (or to say it more correctly, doesn’t have a high water flux) but is very tall as you can see from the pictures.

In the picture below you can spot the small head of my dog Artù that, as always, went forward us to explore the place first. Of course it is just a small place, not crowded or famous at all, but was a pleasant discovery nonetheless. Instead I could appreciate it even more, it was like we were the first men to explore that place, to discover a small, hidden gem in the deep of the wonderful and green austrian woods :D
